wonder waves

After 9,562 shots, my camera is dead. Which means a trade-in and replacement is on its way; the new camera uses battery pack, which means my AA-size rechargables are now made redundant. Which means the 6 of them will be collecting dust somewhere in the room now.

So as i doing readings last night, i got bored and started to look around in room to see if there's any new use for the batteries. And after clearing a layer of 5 cm thick dust, i came across my old aiwa Discman; and to my surprise it is still alive. I'm not making this up, but it's 9 years old and not been switched on even once for the past >5 years. What an amazing sight, in the era when i thought all small electronics dont survive pass 3 years...

Some time later, wanting to save myself from the same old Cd, i switch over to 933 FM, and hey, another nice suprise. It's since such a long time that i've listened to late night air-time (which is continuous stream of songs without DJs) and 85% of the songs are my favourites, with 75% in my mp3 playlist. Some are new ones, some are from recent years, and some are those classics from the early 90s. What a great coincidence, and just nice to save me through the dried up readings, and enjoy the night.

Thanks to whoever that arranged last night song list or set the system etc, never thought i would felt refreshed from listening to a simple FM radio..
